What materials are cubicle panel extenders made from?
Our panel extenders are available in four different materials:
- Acoustic: fabric-laminated soundboard designed for maximum noise reduction. Available in 20 different colors.
- Acrylic: frameless semi-transparent material that provides visual privacy with a modern aesthetic. Available in clear and frosted tints.
- Polycarbonate: ultra-lightweight material that provides visual privacy without blocking out light. Available in translucent and white tints.
- Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET): lightweight and eco-friendly material made from recycled plastics. Available in 5 different colors.
Can I customize the design of my cubicle panel extenders?
Yes, OBEX offers custom office panels to ensure all orders meet the needs of our customers. With help from our team, you can explore your options for acoustical, acrylic, polycarbonate and PET materials. Some of our cubicle height extender materials are available in several colors, too.
How effective are sound baffling panels at reducing noise?
Sound baffling panels – when properly installed – are excellent at absorbing sound waves to reduce background noise and sound reverberation. They are most useful in open-plan office settings where desks have minimal barriers between them.
Can desk dividers and safety shields prevent the spread of germs?
Desk dividers and safety shields are basic, yet effective methods for preventing the spread of airborne germs. Most diseases are spread from person to person when we breathe, talk, sneeze. and cough. Putting up barriers between desks in close proximity with each other reduces the chance of a disease getting passed around the office.

We created an installation guide and video tutorial for each product we offer to help you ensure proper installation in just a few minutes.. Your delivery will also come with the necessary tools for the job, including standard or large brackets depending on your needs.
